E-VISA FOR EU CITIZENS

For EU citizens coming to India for the wedding, the e-Visa is a convenient and fast option.

Visa type : Tourist e-Visa

Key Features:

1: Online Application: You can apply for the e-Visa via the official Indian government website.

2: Duration: Typically, the e-Visa is granted for 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days depending on the type.

3: Multiple Entries: The tourist e-Visa allows multiple entries, but each stay is limited to a certain number of days (usually up to 90 days per visit).

4: Processing Time: Usually takes 3 to 5 business days for approval.

5: Validity: Once approved, the e-Visa is valid for a set period and must be used within the validity window.

STEPS TO APPLY

1: Fill out the Application Form: Complete the online e-Visa application form on the Indian government's official website.

2: Upload Required Documents: You will need to upload a digital photo of yourself and a copy of your passport (the bio page).

3: Pay the Fee: The application fee varies depending on the type of e-Visa and your nationality.

4: Receive e-Visa: After approval, you'll receive your e-Visa via email. Print it out and carry it with you when you travel to India.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1: Travel Window: The e-Visa is typically valid for 30 days from the date of arrival, so make sure your travel dates align.

2: No Visa on Arrival: India does not offer a visa on arrival for most nationalities, so the e-Visa is an essential option.

3: Indian Immigration: Upon arrival in India, you'll need to show your printed e-Visa along with your passport to the immigration authorities.

Please refer to this official website to start your E-visa process.

Carry a digital and physical copy of your approved E-visa (Airport authorities might ask for a physical copy).

If you get stuck during the process, please reach out to Andrea - he’s a pro at this! We recommend completing this process before January.
